This issue has always seemed to make me angry. The issue? People that think quickscoping is cheating. It seems that COD players, unlike League of Legends players, seem to do the exact same thing over and over again expecting a different result. It also seems that when their repetitive actions result in a death, it isn't their fault, it's the game's fault.
Now, people complained about quickscoping in Black Ops 2 as well as Ghosts. But, you see, those people don't have a case. Quickscoping in Ghosts is harder to do than running around with a shotgun and insta killing people with it. I have been quickscoping since the MW2 days, and in MW2, quickscoping wasn't an issue for me. I got nukes easily even in sniper lobbies when equipped with an assault rifle or sub machine gun. They were all at the disadvantage. I had the automatic rifle, they didn't. In fact, it was rare for me to get gunned down by a quickscoper because I had something called skill. What is skill? Skill is aiming at the person, hitting them with two shots in the head, and moving on. It could also be drop shotting them in CQB. Or, in most cases, it could be you getting hitmarked (I get hitmarked more often than not) by a quickscoper and then turning around and spraying that FaZe fanboy down with extreme prejudice.
Did I mention that in MW2 there was aim-assist for snipers and sleight of hand pro (quickdraw) with cross-hairs for the snipers as well? Also, there was more aim control when in scope. (it seems that you can't really drag scope in Ghosts, you really have to scope in and shoot right away and there's no way to compensate for bad initial aim)
So what are all these people complaining about?
Nothing. They suck at COD, and they are mad.
Oh yeah, there's the whole "quickscoping isn't realistic" argument to address. Quickdraw isn't realistic, grabbing bags that give you ammo instantly isn't realistic, firing shotguns with little kick back and effect on movement isn't realistic, being able to spring with an LMG and then being able to ADS less than a second after you have stopped sprinting isn't realistic, the list goes on and on and on and on. This game is supposed to be fun, if you want to play gamebattles go ahead, but honestly, if you have this much trouble with quickscopers that you think it should be taken out of the game entirely, don't bother even making an account for gamebattles. You're trash.

I know what you mean, I've seen people who get mad at me when I quickscope them because I kill them. I would like to see them try that. Yet they think it's all luck and no skill.

I've never seen quickscoping as cheating, but I can see where people would think it is, since most of the long barreled rifles in CoD games are a 1 shot 1 kill in the center stomach area and up, not having to sit around waiting and running around with perks that boost your aim time, reload speed and damage (COD4, WaW and MW2 Stopping Power), I can see where people will jump onto it being "cheating." However, most quickscopers are at a disadvantage due to range, close or long and people who lock down/camp, people who know how to hold down areas will be able counter quickscopers with ease, people who stay at a range with ARs or LMGs will be able to counter them as they're more and likely not going to be able to hit you at a farther range, close up, SMG, Machine Pistols (those horrid FMG9 Akimbos on MW3) or Shotguns, most people drop shot, jump shot and pre-fire around corners with SMGs and Shotguns, so a quickscoper running around the map, shouldn't be much of a problem for most people. However, I will say one thing though......

I personally hate people who quickscope.
I don't know what it is about them, just them shooting at me pisses me off. I don't necessarily think its cheating because they only have one shot at hitting me while I am spraying my assault rifle at them like a maniac.

You do realize that quickscoping takes more skill than using an AR and spraying correct?

I'm not criticizing quickscoping? I simply said that I don't like people who do? Where do you see me saying that quickscope is easier than using an AR and spraying?

I think people who quickscope are actually alot better then any normal person running around with an automatic rifle. Think about it, they miss their shot, they are as good as dead. The other guy can just spray his ass off like a little piece of garbage that he is because he has an automatic rifle. Also instead of being a fagg0t ass camper hardscoping in the back of the map, they actually go in the middle of a gun battle where machine gun and shot gun noobs are battling it out. So my point is quickscopers have alot more skill then a person running around the map with a fully automatic rifle, smg, or a shotgun.

People are just mad because most of the time sniping is a one hit kill in CoD and then there is the occasional hit marker .-. but ah well lol. I'd rather get quickscoped then shot with a shotgun or sprayed with an LMG, or SMG.
