Hello everyone, so been a short while since i last posted some of my work so thought i would post this up

So below is a design i made for Jan's Sandwiches. They are a deli sandwich style cafe that was recently bough out. Before they had a very old traditional style menu and look and they wanted me to essentially update their image. I decided to go for a contemporary design that would look good and appeal to their audience.

They were very happy with the design but i want to see what you guys think so i thought i would post up

fonts, sizes and opacity on the front cover could do with work.

Hmm, the font colour could be a bit darker (If someone with bad eye sight could struggle to read it)

Other then that not bad

Could you be more specific with regards to it as you pretty much summed up the whole of the front cover lol

I do not like it that much to be honest. I think the main reason for that is the colorscheme. Some headlines seem a little bit cramped - the JACKET POTATOES especially. On the good side its quite clean and not too much stuff going on.

It doesn't look like something you'd see at a legit restaurant.. The colors are really retro based and the designs don't seem to match the things you should see on a menu.
And some of the texts are just unfit, and kinda useless, for example.

This text, is cut off by the other, which you can't read: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

And then there's texts like this, that just don't have any reason to be on a menu. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

You're trying to advertise, with the "EAT HERE NOW!". And I mean if they're looking at the menu, they're already there. And the "LOOK AT OUR MENU" Just doesn't belong, they're looking at it already. I think you were just trying to fill those bubbles in with some words, and you didn't really think what you were typing completely through.

Then on the other side, with the sandwiches and everything else, the texts are really just too small, you don't want people squinting at your menu.

But with some positive feedback, on the front, I like that you show what you have to offer, with some texts, plainly stating, "Cakes" and "Soups".

Not sure if you were looking for the amount of feedback I gave. But I was just trying to give the most realistic feedback possible.

Hahaa noo all feedback is welcome big and small

Thanks very much for the constructive criticism I do agree with you on some of the aspects. A lot of the text they actually told me to put on, but the Look at our menu bit was me running out of ideas . With regards to size, its alright as the menu is quite large compared to what your seeing on screen.

Thanks again for the feedback

The front cover seems like there is too much going on.
I don't know that might just be me.

This looks like something you could make in Microsoft Office. The text and circles on the menu are cluttered. The colors look very odd together, and the fonts are very odd.
