There's only a few requirements.

-FTP Access available
-Tons of add-ons (hopefully)
Go-daddy want's me to purchase several different services

Do you want free or not free?

For free, 000webhost are pretty decent. Limited, but for the grand total of nothing it's great.

For not-free, I use hosting24, who are basically 000webhost if you want to pay.

000webhost is garage. They will literally cancel your account for anything.

Try 1and1 hosting

Not had a single problem with 000webhost.

Although Hostinger now offers a little bit more storage space than 000, but that's one of their sister companies anyway.

For free webhosting use x10hosting, reliable, free and has lots of good features. Stay away from 000webhost at all costs, the will cancel your account for no reason and after a while they add advertisements to your site without warning. I was unaware of the ads added to my site as I had ad-block plus installed on my computer. So for months my portfolio had pop up advertisements on it which made it look unprofessional.

So yeah, x10hosting.

I don't really know too much about it but have used web hosting somewhat, also, I have friends that use it frequently and they all say that 1and1 is great, and not too pricey.

My graphic design teacher/programming teacher also uses it to host school's website on as well as his own website for his class. It works great from using it and playing around with some code.
