All Gamestop and EB Game employees are required to check IDs when purchasing or preordering a M rated game or else they may be fired or fined.

I dunno, its a hit and miss tbh. Im 19, 6ft 2, bit of facial hair and i hit the gym abit and i got ID'd for a scratch card 2 weeks ago (16+)
But you never know.

I suppose it all depends on who serves him at the front. Some people are laid back and dont bother but other play it by the book and iD everyone so he might as well try.

I don't think pre-ordering under age matters, I think its only actually buying and receiving the game where you need an ID.

Im pretty sure you can pre order games without showing ID... You just need to show ID to actually pick up the game.

Growing up I was never asked for an I.D. for pre-orders, however when picking up the game they are "required" to ask for identification.

This will greatly vary depending on the specific person helping you that day.
