I have now left school and for years have always wanted to make youtube videos and entertain people!

I start college in September and plan to get a gaming pc and lots of gaming equipment.

I have about 1400 GBP saved up and want some gaming equipment for youtube and general use.

Is this a good career and I may get a job for extra income.

Any ideas?

It wont be easy.
Thats the first thing to think about.
You will have to balance education with youtube.

May get a job??
You WILL NEED a job. I know people who have been youtubing for a couple years now and have a couple hundred thousand subs. They have just dropped to part time work as the channel is starting to supply enough money to live on.

If its something you have wanted to do for ages and you have the passion, who is to tell you no

YouTube is a good career if you make it, everyone is trying to and it will be a difficult path to take unless you have 100% original content.

It will be very hard to start youtube at this time now that theres so many big youtubers like PewDiePie etc.

Make good videos then you will make it.

I say spend around 700 on the pc build its self then rest spend on other tech items!

Like a mic and video capture card if you havnt got one yet!

As long as you have a passion for it and have fun doing it, im sure that it will be worth it even if you don't make any money but could lead onto bigger things. It will definately be an experience and im sure you'll meet a lot of cool people along the way. Good luck man
