I am new to Borderlands (even though its been out years) and i recently completed Borderlands 1 and was wondering is the MOST FUN character to play solo? I am leaning towards siren or Zer0.

The siren is the way to go. By far the best.

Zero or commando is best, siren is best for coop

Its really depends on what you're doing
Siren - play as a medic depends what skill you choose
Assassin - Does a lot of damage to 1 target, i'd say you should use bore shot
Gunzerker - plays as a tank, depends what guns you're using a skills ( I use the grog nozzle and unkempt harold ) he is a very strong character if you use him right.
Commando - F*cking shit his sentry gets useless on raid bosses and enemys when you're a high level.
These are just my opinion. The character I chose are SIREN ASSASSIN AND GUNZERKER ( IT REALLY DEPENDS ON WHAT YOU'RE DOING ) and remember your skill points know how to use them

Agree with cheesecrackers about the commando.. He literally is the worst character.. He's ok during normal and true but when you hit ultimate he like Justin Burberry a ****** and useless...
The true 2 best characters are Salvador and Gaige
Gaige you have to know what you're doing with the skills: her anarchy tree is the best one
Salvador takes a bit but once he is maxed 72 He is basically unstoppable especially with OP8 Norfleets
