Is it illegal to possess cigarettes under the age of 18 in the uk and what is the worst that can happen if you are caught with them and could you be taken home

You can smoke at 16 but not purchase cigarettes in the shops.

If you get caught they cant take them away or anything and police wont do anything you just cant buy them. all my friends and there friends from14/17 smoke infront of police they dont really care. you just cant buy them

The law is weird

You can smoke when you're 16 but....

No-one can purchase tobacco for you

If someone gives you tobacco they break the law

It's something stupid like that but basically you gotta wait till 18

It's legal for you to smoke cigarettes at the age of 16 but it is illegal for the sale of cigarettes to someone under the age of 18.
The system is corrupt.

First you should quit smoking lmao and why would you wanna smoke in front of the police? just smoke when you want if you really think you need to they can take your **** and shit away if they feel like you're to young to smoke but thats only if the police guy wants to be an ass
