The amount of detail he went through in the video was a little far fetched I think, I mean he made the apartment sound more customisable than a vehicle? But fingers crossed we can change some of the interior features, personally, I think it will just be colours of things, such as a brown couch to a cream couch etc, nice find none the less though.

They should really be spending time creating new things like a new place to explore

I like to have parties at my apartment as well as just watching TV. I sit in my apartment so I don't get killed when I go AFK. Did you know sleeping in your bed increases the time for being idle?

I can see where you're coming from, but you have to admit it would be nice to change the colour scheme & be able to do more stuff there? But yeah, I do think they need a new map or be able to buy massive cruise ships (like Michaels that gets stolen) & party on them in the sea, hopefully, they eventually bring out new music on the radio stations, that'd be a nice little feature as well

Why are you making this a big deal? Rockstar have already added new jobs, missions, weapons and cars in the past and now they are just giving apartment customization a go. I think it's a nice idea that you'll be able to give your own personal touches to your home. In the future they probably have big thins planned like new towns & places don't worry.
