The 'conspiracy' you are referring to isn't actually a conspiracy. It is a common tactic used in business called 'planned obsolescence', which means that the product is designed to have a limited lifespan.

Can you imagine if a company sold a product that would last the consumer until the end of time? They would not buy the product again from that company and the company would not profit as much money. If the consumer likes the product enough to replace it, they will - It's a way for the business to keep sales up.

I think all companies do this even with my old tablet I took great care with it. Never dropped it and it still broke a year and a half later.

Car company's do this as well by building cars which deteriorate shortly after the warranty runs out, it's common in most consumer products.
