sorry if this sounds like a dumb question but i really dont know

Yes, they are glitch chips just like a CoolRunner or Matrix Glitcher.

They are specifically for Slims only though - and I'd really only recommend them for Corona boards as you can get pretty darn good boot times on a Trinity with a simple Rev C.

NEW INFO:

Here's the Xbox360 Stone completely untuned booting a Trinity!!!

This is a world first as far as I can tell as there are ZERO wiring diagrams of this out there and I had to figure out where C1 and C2 went through trial and error and educated guessing based on the Corona board.

C1 and C2 Location

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

"A" on the Stone is CPU_RST so I used FT4R2.
"B" is POST_OUT to the standard point
"D" & "E" are I2C signals just like in the Corona install
"F" is once again left empty.

Thanks to JrMods for hanging out with me and letting me talk through this stuff with him.

I installed one today on a trintiy about as good boot times as Rev C as you stated above although half the price!

I will try the Blue CPU_RST from a slim pack see if it makes a different for me
