Hello guys just wanted some opinions on jailbreaking my iPhone 5s, had a 5s since December 2013 and just had it replaced yesterday due to a flimsy screen. I jailbroke an iphone 4 a while ago and pretty much enjoyed it. lets get to the main reason i am posting this.

i was just wondering if there are any extra things i should know before deciding.
if my phone breaks and i have to take it to apple, will they be able to tell if its been jailbroken if i restore it?

Thanks.

I've heard both they can still detect it and that they can't. People say that they can't because it's back to how it was, but others says there's something they can still check for that never changes if you jail break it and restore it.

I honestly I'm just keeping my 4s they way it is. The regular un-jailbroken version.

I really don't see a point in jail-breaking. It slows your phone down, takes up memory, drains the battery to no extent.

Plus most people just use their phones for texting, social media and taking pictures and surfing the web sometimes. It's not like you will be staring at your homescreen all day just looking at it.

I really don't find a point in jailbreaking. I would just keep the phone how it is.

Bought my iPhone 5c last month and as soon as I got home I jailbreaked it. I would recommend doing this because of the free apps. Some people like to customize their iDevices. Though it's up to you!
