I run Windows 7 Ultimate on my Gaming rig with ChromeOS on my Chromebook. I used to run ElementaryOS but got bored of it.

ChromeOS running off an SSD is easily the faster OS I've used.

ElementaryOS is just a Linux based OS.

Gaming PC: Windows 7 ultimate
Laptop: Ubuntu 13.10
I tried duel booting my laptop with vista and Linux, but Linux decided to pummel it to death, so it is primarily Linux now.

Gaming PC - Windows 7 Home Premium
School Laptop - Windows 8.1 (upgraded from Vista)

8.1 is awesome it boots in 20 seconds compared to like 5 minutes with Vista
