Hello people,

This is mainly a question for the Americans and also the people that know about this kind of stuff.

I have got a oldish dollar bill, but the trouble is that i live in the UK and i found this not in a briefcase my grandad gave me.
There was all sorts there like old stamps in mint condition and i got the stamps valued up and they was worth some bit of money and i showed the guy this one dollar, he looked at me like he couldn't understand it.
He said he has never seen a dollar like this before.

He said the serial number was unusual and he couldn't value it.

Please can someone help me it's:

Federal Reserve Note
A2 and A100 on the bottom left of the 1 dollar thing.
12 on all four corners.
it has a black seal with L in the middle, BANK OF SAN FRANCISCO
Series 1981
it has a green seal that says 1789 on it

The serial number is : L56643452C

Can somebody help me ?

I Have no clue D;

I'd advise going to a coin/currency collectors website and asking there, you'll get a better estimate.

Posting a picture would probably help as well. I don't really know much about it but it'll probably help someone who does know.

You say you're a "COIN" expert, when what were talking about here is a "NOTE"

That is only a 33 year old dollar. It would only be worth 1 dollar. If it was a lot older than that say pre 1900s then it could be worth a bit more but a normal dollar from 1981 would only be worth one dollar.
