Hey guys.

My work is buying me a laptop and I have been given a budget of 500 pounds.

Can anyone suggest any laptops that would be any good. I would like to do a bit of light gaming on it as well so dedicated graphics is a must really.

I have a few in mind already but a few other opinions couldn't hurt.

You can get some good deals on custom built laptops at the moment, however they'll be just out of your budget, and without a software license.

I would see if you can put some of your own money towards it, as it actually gives you quite a bit of value for money:

With these specs:

Memory (RAM)
4GB SAMSUNG 1600MHz SODIMM DDR3 MEMORY (1 x 4GB)
Graphics Card
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 850M - 2.0GB DDR3 Video RAM - DirectX 11
Free Item
FREE 90 IN-GAME VOUCHER with GTX 650 / 750 /7000M / 8000M Series GPUs

500GB SERIAL ATA II 2.5" HARD DRIVE WITH 8MB CACHE (5,400rpm)
DVD/BLU-RAY Drive
8x SATA DVDR/RW/Dual Layer (+ 24x CD-RW)
Memory Card Reader

It'll run you ~550 GBP, however as previously stated, without an OS and slightly out of budget.

Let me know what you think.
