So I just got my Xbox One and I know this question sounds kinda dumb but if you buy a game digitally over the Xbox Store does it have a bigger download/install size than one with a disc

There the same but depending on your internet digital downloads will take a lot longer than with a disc.

I feel like it runs better downloading it from the marketplace and I like the fact not having to change disc
