Right heres the problem guys i have about 6 games and they have taken around 150GB in storage, the OS is 100GB i only have 250GB left i give it atleast a month and that 250GB will be gone what am i suppose to do replace HDD with 2.5TB?. Each game is around 20-40GB thats insane! And HDD's are rather expensive if you get a high spec drive i cannot be buying games then a year later HDD full once again posted on ps4 web browser.

PS4... Just to vague they want you to spend so much money on 2TB HDD for example reinstall all your games os etc. Thats 500GB Then 1.5TB is supposed to last you 5 Years. Both consoles need External Support.

Why do these consoles make you install the game and play the disc? I dont get it, on my 360 I install my games so that they dont spin, sure it takes up around 8GB per game but the thing is ITS OPTIONAL. So why do the next gen consoles need the install? Is it cause the game wont work like GTA V if you dont install data or? Im confused. Theres no way the stock hard drives in next gen consoles will last if you play alot of games...

I was reading up on this and basically they dont want to wear out the drive, and its quieter. I guess that if the system reads the game off the HDD it provides better performance. But having to spend $400 on a console and $100 every year on a hdd sucks  .

This is true i agree with all of you. If the discs are now just to automatically install the game onto the console then there will be no more space for anything. Next gen games are extremely huge now a days. 32.5gb for the gold edition of ghosts. Also the updates this is a fatal issue that needs to be addressed immediately before people start raising hell over it. By buying a new hard drive everytime

once you install a next gen game onto your hard drive all the disc is used for is to verify that you still have the disk that way you can buy say call of duty ghosts then sell the install for 5$ for everybody on the street
