How do you make the statusbar icons look white like on kitkat?
I changed em to white but they look too white and not transparent

Use xblast tools, go to status bar > icons, and just take the white and make it darker like a silver, there is no module that i know of that allows you to do that, and just trying a darker or lighter white may be your only way to make it look like that unless you flash a kitkat rom, other than that good luck
