Update:
Over half a dozen people have now been confirmed dead and over 74 injured after an explosion that collapsed two East Harlem buildings at around 9:31 a.m. EST. New York Mayor Bill de Blasio confirmed that it was triggered by a gas leak. The fiery blast erupted around 15 minutes after a neighboring resident reported smelling gas, authorities said at a news conference. The energy company Con Edison said it immediately sent utility workers to check out the complaint, but they didn't arrive until it was too late.

I would say gas explosion before jumping to a criminal conclusion, but I think it's pretty easy to rule out terrorism.
Not much of a political statement attacking an apartment building, unless there was a um... accidental detonation...

Well, this is a horrible incident again and all my compassion goes to the families. I hope the injured people will get healthy again and that they don't have serious issues later in their live, because of that thing. They just were at the wrong time on the wrong place :/.

Just a quick update, they've found a 7th body.

Crews found a seventh body Thursday in the rubble of two collapsed buildings in East Harlem and continued to search for as many as 5 people still missing from an explosion that rocked the neighborhood.

As many as 60 people were injured when the blast -- apparently triggered by a natural gas leak -- leveled the five-story buildings that included Spanish Christian Church, 15 apartments, and a piano repair store.

"I can only imagine knowing that at any moment you might find a body, how difficult that is," Mayor Bill de Blasio told firefighters in his second visit in two days to the blast site on Park Avenue at 116th street.. "I admire the work you guys do. I really do. It's not easy. Thank God you do."

I know this is :offtopic: I'm not trying to be mean but in this situation, spelling 'no' correctly would probably help. Because you just said that you hope more bodies will be found.
Anyway, back on topic, this is dreadful and my thoughts go to the families that lost people.

Wow this is awful! I feel for all the victims and families/friends of them...
I think if there was a gas leak, the building should of been evacuated quickly in all honesty
