It's my brothers laptop.

Basically it loads the ACER loading screen then suddenly goes to a black screen and will not load the windows ect...


I've clicked F8 but from then I don't know which option to click on

I would suggest trying the acer Support forums or trying to talk to a technician. I know F5 Restarts. When you see the First loading screen try hitting F12 to bring up the boot menu and go from there. Also try loading in safe mode to see if it is just a problem with the certian boot or if its all of the Boots that are messed up.

get into the BIOS and make sure it is set to boot from HDD, mine did the same because it went dumb and wanted to boot from the optical drive.

I Would Contact Acer Support and see whats wrong.

or if they cant fix it bring a hammer to it

i had the same issue with my acer. i clicked f9 thought and it brang up system recovery. it happened again after i restored it and i just let it sit at the black screen for about 30 mins and it booted it and never had the issue again.
