NATO should step up right now. If we leave this too long Russia will take hold of Ukraine. Impose as many sanctions as you want, that will not stop Russia invading Ukrainian territory (which they already have)! We need to blockade Crimea, this will stop Russia taking anymore of Ukraine and would stop a hell of a lot of blood shed which would happen if Russia invaded sovereign territory. We need to prevent Russia being like a Cold War state, and let's face it, that country has never truly left that sort of mind set. Considering Putin is ex-KGB, I'm sure he wouldn't mind another Cold War. The difference is, this won't be a Cold War, this will be an active combat war, possibly a world war. We cannot appease Russia in anyway without dire consequences, look what happened when we gave hitler the Netherlands! I know this sounds like a one sided rant (which it is), but NATO need to act now. They need to set up a sea blockade around Ukrainian ports, put NATO troops in Crimea to prevent Russia from entering more parts of Ukraine and set up a no-fly zone over Ukraine to stop Russia flying helicopters over sovereign territory.
That was my rant, now, what do you think?

All I know is, that it needs to be handled very delicately. Making rash decisions could be costly in more ways than one. If Russia decide to violate The Ukraine's sovereignty any further than they already have, then they deserve all they get. But a show of force is not always the best answer as this could potentially all be handled politically. It's just a waiting game. We will have to see how this pans out.

The way it seems right now, a full scale invasion is imminent, we need to act soon. But we do need to act delicately.

You need to keep in mind that the difficult decisions made during hard times are the ones we tend to regret. I'm in favor in stepping in to stop them if they continue to go further and try to violate Ukraine's sovereignty, but before that happens, doing anything big might be tragic.

There are difficult decisions to be made. If NATO Done anything to soon Russia could retaliate against them for intervening.
