I play on Xbox 360 and I've gone through so many headsets over the years including, astro A40, turtle beach px22, x11,31 and now I'm looking for suggestions on a new one.

It needs to be able to work with a wired controller and not make a whining sound. Any auggestions ?

Just out of curiosity, why'd you give the the A40? Those are probably one of the best headsets out there when it comes to gaming. Also, turtle beach headsets are really good and reliable, so by eliminating all of those, you're really making it hard for us to find a solid headset you could use.

Here are the best I could find:

1. Turtle Beach PX51 [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

2. Razer Chimaera [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

3. Tritton Warhead 7.1 http://www.amazon.com/Tritton-Warhead-Dolby-Wireless-Surround-Headset/dp/B0057S9SYY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1393600389&sr=8-1&keywords=tritton+warhead+7.1

If Astros aren't your style. I suggest the [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] , they are amazing when it comes to sound quality.
I used the first version and then the 2 version for about 2 years. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] was the one that I owned.

I just made the switch the a40s and I have not looked back.

Turtle Beach X12's. By far the best bang for your buck. I would much rather have x12's than any Astro or Tritton headset.

I would definitely recommend going with the turtle beach xp400s, theyre the second version of the x41s. They eliminated all static and screeching noises that the x41s had. I have them now and they are absolutely perfect for quality and comfortability!
