Before I start I posted this in the "General Discussion" forum because the "Video editing forum" is dead.

So basically I'm using a program called "Virtualdub" to capture with my Roxio Game Capture (Lost the Disk to the Roxio software) and when I plug the USB cable into my PC and go to "Devices" on "VirtualDub" the Roxio Capture doesn't show?

If anyone can help I will +Rep.

Thanks.

First of all, it sucks that you lost the original Roxio disc. First Party software has an almost definite success rate (running the capture itself) compared to Third Party software. As I have switched over to an HD PVR from a Roxio, I know little about it and how it might work with Third Party software. You might be able to find yourself a copy of the Roxio software itself online, but if not, I'd recommend watching this configuration tutorial with the Roxio/Virtualdub.

When you have it plugged in does it show up in your device manager?

Yes it shows in the "Device Manger" just not in "Devices" on Virtualdub?

That exclamation mark means something is wrong. Double-click on it and make sure it's working properly. You can also check for a driver update from there.

make sure you have the roxio drivers installed . if you do and its still not showing un-install the roxio + use ccleaner and clean the registry + restart the pc and then re-install the software and it should work perfect

A little late but try and uninstall the driver.
Unplug it > open up device manager > right click > uninstall driver > plug it back in.
It should download driver software upon reconnecting it.
