I know this isn't World News, but I thought I would post this here.
A little girl that was 7 years old was hit by a semi just a few hours ago close to where I live.
Police are saying her and another child, 12 years old, were crossing the parkway. The 12 year old made it, but Jasamine did not.
She was taken to the local hospital but was pronounced dead just after 8 p.m. from multiple blunt force injuries.
The parkway will be shutdown for several hours. The 12 year old was not injured.
This accident is still under investigation.


I really feel bad for the parents of this child. She had so much life ahead of her. I couldn't imagine what her family is going through right now..

That is horrible to hear. I hate hearing stuff like this, and it is truly tragic.

Hope the parents will be okay.

I feel so bad for the family, must be a truly awful event. I hope they can get through it.

Late at night and the two little girls were alone and crossing the road (from reading comment via the link given) it seems like they shouldn't have been doing so, they should be with a parent or guardian so they are accompanied by someone of an authority.

However, a life has been lost and this is terrible. The girl had a short life and now her family have suffer I hope the family and friends of the girl can see it through the tough time

That happen like 10 minutes from where I live I was not on scene because my dispatch number didn't get called. This is sad

It is sad but why should the driver be arrested? It's not like he tried to hit the kids on purpose.

I'm sure it is affecting him as much as it is affecting the little girl's family.
