I'am a naturalist which I believe we are equal to monkeys on earth. When we die our brains no longer function and thats the end.

I'm on the fence about the afterlife. You have to remember that underneath all of us there is energy which is still there long after death.

The only way we will ever know is if we die.

You proved your statement very well, but me being Catholic, I believe that there is a heaven. I am not completely sure, but that is what I believe.

i like how you included a scientific explenation for dreaming, rather than simply spurting nonsense like some people do. so props for that. as far as dreaming it is crazy how real they can feel sometimes, you see and people and experience things, that at times feel more real than life itself. even those awkward deams where you wake up thinking " why the hell would i dream that". another interesting thing to think about, is if there is a connection between the spirit and the subconscious mind. How many would argue that we all meet loved ones in heaven after we die. there is so much un-answered, however sometimes its best not to try to prove things through science. sadly, there will always be things we cannot explain. =)

So if we bad and we die we will live in the nightmare and if we good we will live in the good dream?

Not sure if anyone has said this, but DMT can be extracted from tree bark and made into a crystal for consumption. This leads to the same effect if a user uses it.

Trotsky wrote Not too sure about the whole dreaming the world up after death thing.
To be dead you have to be completely brain dead.
From what we know, there is a shed load of neurological activity going on while we sleep, and dream.

Even with this chemical flooding our brain, if the brain isn't alive and working it can't affect it.

The only way that I will ever believe in an afterlife is if,
a) I die and see one
b) The existence of the soul/spirit is proven and is shown to be separate from our consciousness and bodies.

He's saying when we are "near death" is when the chemical comes into play.
This explanation is quite believable.
I think once we're at the brink of death this chemical activates until we finally die.
That's why he says people who have claimed to see Heaven were nearing death in some form, but recovered.

I do believe this theory as it's supported by facts.

I was referring to the people who were saying that this could be the afterlife.
"What if we're all dreaming this, and are actually dead...?" etc.

Let me know what you think
Good theory. But what I wonder is how these people recall them so well, considering it is practically a dream, and we forget our dreams so quickly. But other than that this is a good thought :2thumbsup:
Well guessing if a crazy amount of DMT is released the dream will be more vivid therefore easier to remember? OT: Nice theory :2thumbsup:
