Do you need an operating system?Yes (want windows 7)

Alright here me out on this post. I'm a bit held up and want some help please.

I am in need of new computer. I have money but don't want to waste it all trying to make something that's not worth it. So I've heard building a PC would be cheaper than buying one pre-built. Ill do that if it is easy, I mean how hard is it really? Will it be a struggle for me to get the parts and put them together to assemble my PC?

Anyways I am looking into PC gaming because for the few games my old PC could run I had a blast playing them all. I will play anything from call of duty to minecraft so it needs to be able to run smooth and preferred on high settings...

I would like to try to convert from Xbox to the PC so would it even be worth it to try wired xbox controller? A lot of people said no but I'm not sure why.

And If I wanted to record would this setup work? El gato, Logitech headset, and a recording mic? Was shuffling around and that seemed affordable and solid.

For all this help I will rep you back in return. I'm sorry for so many questions. And if I spelled stuff wrong sorry.II'm on my phone atm.

Other than the fact that the case is disgusting... Change it to a Fractal Design define R4 and change the GPU to a 770.
