Hello TTG,
For anyone who is interested, i have found a great source for the absolute beginning coder in mind! In my opinion its one of the best resources out there, its very noob friendly, easy to follow and free! The website is: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] but the section for beginner coding is: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Hope this will help you because it sure helped me learn all basic fundamentals that i can now apply to most, if not all programming languages!

I'd recommend starting with [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] then using Lynda to fill in gaps (what I do) for things TreeHouse doesn't cover.

Great idea i just dislike how you must pay for tree house after your free trial but overall its an exceptional place to learn, from what ive heard.

I love Codeacademy. Minus the tags automatically closing, that's frickin annoying.

There's a little bug where after your month is up, and you pause your account, you can watch the videos for free, but can't take the quizzes, I found that out when I had paused my account.

Also, there's a website called it-ebooks where you can get a lot of good books on programming.
