Roughly 80,000 fans, 10,000 event employees and a few thousand law enforcement agents will all collide when Met Life Stadium opens its gates for Super Bowl XLVIII around noon on Sunday.

The NFL's first cold-weather Super Bowl might also be one of its most chaotic, with fans from two states heading to East Rutherford by car, train, and bus, so here are the 10 things you should know before you get going on game day.

1. Get there early NFL officials say parking lots will open at noon, but most parking spaces have been purchased ahead of time and will likely be gone by game day. Fans will also have to go through security checkpoints, passing through metal detectors and a pat down. Those checkpoints will open at 2 p.m. Between traffic and lengthy lines through the checkpoints, you're going to need time to get into the stadium.

2. Don't drive, take a bus! Public transit is the way to go on game day because there is extremely limited parking. Use the NFLs Fan Express Bus. It's a pre-ticketed coach bus system, boarding at nine pickup locations, including The Plaza at Harmon Meadows in Secaucus, the Hanover Marriott and Newark Liberty Airport Marriott in New Jersey, Grand Central Terminal and several other locations in New York. The buses leave each stop every half hour between 1:30 and 4:30 p.m. on game day and the cost is $51. Fans can visit [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] for more information.

3. Or, take the train For $50, NJ Transit is offering a Super Pass, a commemorative, unlimited ride ticket through Super Bowl week, valid on all modes of NJ Transit transportation. Just remember to carry your ticket with you. Police will be checking for Super Bowl tickets before you even board the train in Secaucus. You will be denied access to the train without the ticket.

4. What you can bring NFL officials would like it very much if you don't bring anything to the stadium. But if you have to bring something, there are a few acceptable items for you to carry them in: clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags that don't exceed 12'' x 6'', a one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag, or a small clutch bag (4.5 x 6.5). Exceptions will be made for medical needs, officials said.

5. What you can not bring Virtually anything. The NFLs list of prohibited items includes: alcohol, animals, banners, beach balls, backpacks, aerosol cans or containers, camcorders, food, footballs, fireworks, laser lights or pointers, pepper spray, noisemakers, poles/stick (what the NFL lovingly called "missile-like items"), strollers or tripods. Any and all of the aforementioned stuff will be confiscated, and the NFL says they're not storing it for you.

6. It's gonna be cold, but the NFL has your back It's the Northeast. In the winter. Get over it. But on Sunday, security checkpoints will all be located inside heating pavilions, according to the NFL's chief security officer Jeffrey Miller, and each fan's seat will have a "warming gift," which will include a seat cushion, muffler, ski gaiters, three pairs of hand- and foot-warmers, lip balm and a package of tissues.

7. If you must drive, check your car before you go Every vehicle that enters the stadium grounds will be subject to an X-Ray and other scans. Parking in the limited spaces at MetLife on game day will cost $150. You can buy passes online at superbowl.clickandpark.com.

8. You should probably keep that ticket somewhere safe Ticket theft is one of the most common crimes associated with the Super Bowl, both in the days leading up to the big game and on the day of, according to NFL officials. You should probably find somewhere safer than your back pocket for that prized possession.

9. If you still need a ticket, buy it from the NFL Counterfeit tickets are another regular problem. NYPD Commissioner William Bratton said on Wednesday his officers made several arrests in Queens involving a counterfeiting scam earlier this week, and Miller warned that buyers should beware of third-party ticket sales.

10. Beware counterfeit merchandise If you want a Richard Sherman or Peyton Manning jersey, you're better off getting them some place that gives receipts. The NFL is announcing a major seizure of counterfeit merchandise at 10 a.m. on Thursday, part of a nationwide effort to combat the sale of fake jerseys and other products.-ITsAModderOG
LETS GO BRONCOS

I would like to see the Seahawks win but I think the Broncos are going to win.
I just don't think the Seahawks can put up as many points as the Broncos although the Seahawks have the better defense.

I will give it to Seattle, they have a great great defense. But their defense is not great enough to control Manning and that Bronco Offense.

So yeah I have the Broncos winning.

no doubt Broncos by far i have no idea how Seattle even made it this far. Yes their defense is stacked but all of the offenses they have played so far have not done as well as they should have
