I don't see it as a noob tube, plenty of skilled players use the grenade launcher.

What makes a "noob"-tube a noob or newb weapon is the area of effect and it's power. Take the MW2 grenade launcher for example, powerful right. Now look at the grenade launcher in Blops2, pretty weak unless it's practically physically on the person it's targeting. A "Noob"-tube is what was used in MW2 because of it's power and it's lack of skill needed to kill anyone with (thus anyone from a troll to a new player could use it with ease), plus there was a perk to make it even better without there being a counter perk(danger close). The grenade launchers in post MW2 CoD games require much more skill due to reduced blast radius, steeper damage drop around blast, and there are only perks to reduce the damage taken from these launchers but no counters (Blast shield).

CoD ghosts is probably the first CoD in a while to actually get launchers correct by allowing for both to be in the game simultaneously all the while grenade launchers still require some skill by making the player shoot within a small radius around their target.

Yeah, you really don't need any skill to use them .

The only COD that annoyed me with noob tubes was MW2.

I really only use it when im out of ammo. for example, if you just sprayed like 4 people down and your about to reload when you see someone, just save yourself with a nubetoob. But i do hate when people use them like crazy though.
