The reason of why COD 4 is cherished so dearly is because it was released in the era which was considered the gaming golding age. Infinity ward managed to develop a game with astonishing next gen graphics, great multiplayer, and spectacular balancing. There's been numerous counts of games that have attempted to copy the same skin as Call of Duty. Even though I was 10 at the time in which COD4 was released, it was still great to get the opportunity to play it when I was older

I think everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Personally, my favorite game has been MW3, but that doesn't mean that I don't respect the people who's game is COD4. Yes, it had errors and whatnot, but it was also a very complete and functional game. It wasn't until very late in their release that people started to hack and do all sorts of stuff. Personally one of the best games I've played in that sense.

Cod 4 is actually a wonderful game.

COD 4 is one of my favorite XBOX games. It was the first call of duty to introduce the ranking system and creating your own class. It brought us into the shoes of Pvt. Soap McTavish and gave us an exciting and well thought out campaign. Multiplayer was awesome. But it was ruined by modders and now you can't go a step without getting killed by a aimboting, wallbreaching little child.

I think people jump on the COD4 bandwagon too much and don't realize it did have some minor problems, not huge but still.

people always hold the first cod they played on a pedestal even though its the same. I went back and played the ones I thought were the best and they are just as bad

CoD 4 is the best one of all time. its simplicity was great

I loved COD4 but I thought MW2 was one of the best

Me personally i loved COD4, i mean i wouldnt go back, it was mostly just good memories, and i like to keep it that way so me personally i wouldnt want to go back.

But CoD4 is like one of the best cods to come out.
