Reputation and stars do no coincide.

Reputation is received from other members or posting. Other members have to send you 100 reputation points for you to earn 1 reputation power (what others see on your profile). Also every 25 posts you get 1 reputation power.

The stars go by posting ranks. Which can be found on the rank link.

How to get rep?

-Make useful comments
-Comment on the ones that say Help ! +rep (make sure you give a good answer ) or just comment on the ones that say Help! (They sometimes give rep)
-Play the forum games that say Guess the ____ +rep! (I held a picture game for rep in the past ;)
-Be Helpful all around (I always get rep outta the blue sometimes 50's!
-Gift gold (Sometimes you can get REP outta it usually)
-Be quick! (Fast responses and detailed posts can get you some rep)

Give as much as you like (up to 50 then gift someone else and you can re-gift the person again after)
