As Scotland aren't in it I want Germany to win.

A lot of people are going for Germany but for some reason my bet is on Chile, they will at least make it to the semi finals.

Well Scotland won't be there so I say either the Germans or perhaps Uraguay. Germany obviously have a talented team, but is there not like only 1 european team to win a world cup in the southern hemisphere (Spain in South Africa). Where Uraguay have got real firepower and it's in South America.

Failing those 2 it will be the team against England (though Italy and Uraguay should comfortably send them on their way home before the knockouts)

England of course, really looking forward to it starting

Wouldn't say they're that good. Nigeria are the better of the African sides.

I want England to win, imo we have a way better chance of winning this year than in recent years

Well considering you are in a group with 2 teams I would consider favourites to advance then I wouldn't say so. Against Uraguay, I can see England having huge problems. Uraguay have a force going forward which will br too much for Englands back 4 to handle. Uraguay are of course South American and therefore are playing in a climate which they are used to. Italy have a superior squad man for man. England will be on the back foot for the opening game and will either lose or just make it with a draw. Uraguay will be top no doubt. Italy will likely outscore England if it came down to goal difference in the end.

I'm telling you all that the Germans will win this year. German football is at a high.

I was more basing that statement off of our own squad, and i do believe we can give Uruguay a run for their money, i stated our of winning chances this year are a lot higher than in recent years, but that's mostly because in recent years our chances have been practially 0.
