i got a signal booster today my latency without it was in the 160s but with a booster its jumping up and down one minuite its 167 next its 180 somthing then it jumps up to the 300s there is a place for the Ethernet cable in the booster so i plug my xbox into the booster using the Ethernet cable but it just makes my latency worse. i got the booster because my signal strength was on the 70s so i thought i needed it but now its up to 100% but with worse signal than before is it worth just not using the booster do i not need it?

The signal booster is probably just struggling to keep the already weak signal. I would recommend a power line adapter or perhaps moving your router closer or upgrading it.
