keeps changing from 3.7mhz to 1.4 mhz :S

I think that I successfully upgraded my bios as well but I'm not sure how to check them.

It used to do this to me, but turning off AMD Turbo Core and C6 State usually will sort it.

They can be found within the BIOS.

But no, it shouldn't be fluctuate that much.

I Turned off AMD Turbo Core but cant find the C6 State you are talking about.

Yes, it is fine. It is down clocking/up clocking itself to whatever you are doing. My FX-6300 stays at 1.4Ghz when I am just browsing, but turbos up to the 4.1 when running SETI@HOME or playing Bf4.

Keep it like it is. You can change your C-state settings in the BIOS to run full voltage and speed at all times, but it will use more power and generate more heat. If you were competitively overclocking, you would want to change this setting, but you're not.
