Buxtyy wrote If you have an ASUS board which you do, when the system POST's it will check all components, the light that sticks on usually is the issue.

Its not unheard of for motherboards to be faulty, but then again processors can come DOA aswell.

Right not i just took my cooler off and seen that i missed a 8 pin plug after plugging it it my RAM stayed solid green but my CPU MEMOK and i think VGA light flashed 1 at a time then the computer just completely shut off.

this is annoying me...

EDIT: Atm i have no GPU or CPU cooler installed.

Can you confirm you've properly inserted the top CPU 4+4pin power connector and the right hand side 20+4pin connector into their slots until they click?

Also you should fit the cooler, unless you need to make sure you've put the processor in correctly.

The LED's will come on then go off as the system checks each component. Also you'll need the GPU in to see if anything actually happens.

PC Powers off after like 5 seconds, i flashes the lights i said above and then shuts off even with the GPU plugged in.

i have double checked ever wire plugged in also tried both RAM and both on their own ( in the correct ports)

Try it with the board outside the case, just to rule out shorting.
