If you want to JailBreak your iDevice, Restore it to factory And setup as new

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Restore iDevice To Factory Via iTunes, Setup as new device
Close iTunes and Run Evasion7.exe
Wait till Your Prompted To unlock iDevice
Follow instructions
When Download Sync anything onto iDevice Via iTunes
YOUR DONE!

Do I need to restore my device before jailbreaking?
If I don't restore it before will it keep all my stuff?

You do not have to restore, its recommended so there isn't anything conflicting with the jail breaking being installed. I do believe it will keep your stuff but i am not completely sure, do back up your device before jailbreaking. Do remember you can still sync with itunes after jailbreaking!

I'd recommend you to restore because the first time I did it I had a back up and went through the jail breaking process the apple logo got stuck then I restored it to normal and did the process again then it worked fine.

Gonna put it out there that you DO NOT have to restore your device. I've jailbroken 3 iPhones from 3gs/5 and I've never restored one and have not had a problem jailbreaking any of them.
