Now, i really don't care about sound quality. what I'm most interested in is mic quality. What brand of headsets has the best mic quality? I want it to sound clear and give no feedback. Any suggestions?

x12s are the best bang for your buck and the mic is pretty much as good as it gets over xbox live. I used them before i got my astros and they did the job

Turtle beaches work fine for me. Had them for 4 years now... If you want look into Tritons or Astros

The Steel Series Siberia V2's are really good for the 'price to performance' ratio.

Astro probably has the best mic quality.

But if youre looking for a USB microphone; definitely try the Blue Yeti Snowball mic.
Its the best around and its only $100

Best for price would be turtle beaches. I use Earforce X1s, but X11s are good too. If you have money, buy astro A40s. A40s are the most expensive, but pros use them and they are only more expensive because they are better.

EDIT: Are you talking about computer/commentaries or just xbox mics?

Siberia v2s don't work on console unless you get the sound card thing with them
