It's basically an autofollower, and as you guessed it, it follows people.

But the twist is that they follow you back, I generated around 1K in around 2 days or so.

And also, the people that you will be following are never interesting. I made the mistake of doing the RT for followers stuff and using autofollowers. I then ended up following like 2,000 people, with only like 700 followers back.

I also ended up with people from other countries constantly tweeting which just jams my feed up of boring and uninteresting people.

This is why I wanted to avoid this option.

Yeah, I highly suggest checking the "Discover" page and actually finding people who tweet about things that are actually interesting!

Putting a # can help gain followers too
For example:

"Derby County played very well against chelsea tonight.
Derby till I die
#Dcfc"

That tweet could attract more Derby County fans and then gain retweets, favourites and followers!

But my secret is to follow everyone that follows you back and search for a Retweet for followers account on twitter and Retweet that..

I unfollow celebrities and then follow them again this helps me get followers quickly with the same interests, I would say this is the easiest way to active followers that enjoy the same celebrities you do this works with me.

I follow a ton of people, but having 20k following really doesn't feel like it on your TL when they're all people with similar interests I also have 22k following back whom have similar interests (teens who like music, teen stuff and aren't socially inept lol) so yeah, just follow followers of people that you like or are similar to
