What About RAID?

I don't see any obvious reasons...

If you aren't going to overclock (and you'll be stupid not to with that build), then don't get the (k) version of the CPU. But I would overclock, since you're going to be getting an expansive z87 motherboard, then shell out for a CPU cooler to take the extra heat the overclocking will create.

Okay I Will Overclock

Anything Else I Would Need?

This Whole Thing Will Probably Cost $4000 (2435.91 GBP)

Dang dude that is going to cost sooooo much

Before I start just keep in mind that building a PC is a big expense, and you don't need all the top of the line products all at once. I did the same thing when I was going to build my first PC, and I had almost all the same parts you want in my amazon cart, but its way to expensive to do that, and it isn't really all that worth it anyways.

Also keep in mind that you can upgrade parts at anytime you want, so it is a good idea to start out with less expensive parts and work your way up. Then after you get more familiar with building PC's and you know what you are doing, sell this PC you are (hopefully) going to build later, and you can gain some big profit. Once you make the profit, build a better PC with the money you sold the old one for and then sell that one. Rinse, repeat, blah blah blah, and eventually you will have all the top quality products because of all the other computers you've made profit on.

Anyways lets get into what I think you should change/get instead...

You don't even need all that. If you are looking to get a good gaming PC for probably at least a third of the price you're at now...

Swap the 780 ti with an Asus gtx 770 or 2 760's

You really don't need anymore than 8GB of RAM so just go with the 8GB of Corsair vengeance

You do NOT need 500GB of SSD, go with the 120GB or if you really want more than that go with the 250GB but not the 500GB

Power supply, bro... you don't need 1050 Watts unless you have like 4 graphics cards hahaha go with the TX750M its more affordable, its modular, and it works great

The X79 is a great motherboard as long as you get the Asus Sabertooth X79 but the Sabertooth Z87 is a better motherboard for the price so keep that in mind

The i7's are fine but if you want to save some money go with the i5 4670k because you don't really need the i7's and the only difference between the two is that the i7's have 0.1 more GHz and 2 more MB of cache so I wouldn't even bother getting the i7's unless you like to edit videos and stuff like that

I wouldn't get Windows 8 myself, just because it has some design flaws, and I like Windows 7 much better

Get this monitor if you want a top notch one (I have this one) ASUS VG Series VG278HE 27-Inch Screen LED-lit LCD Monitor

Don't forget the NVIDIA 3D glasses!

If I were you I'd get the Corsair k70 Cherry MX Red or the same but the k95

Don't get turtle beaches. Trust me I have had multiple pairs in the past and every about 2 months or so I would find myself having to buy new ones because they always break. They say its the "pro circuit" headset but if you actually go to an MLG event they all use Astros so get the Astro A40 Wired or maybe the A50's if you want. Keep in mind that with the A50's the sound quality isn't quite as good as the A40's because the A40's are wired and the A50's are wireless, and the technology for wireless audio isn't at the same level as being as good as wired. Trust me, I love my A40's soooooo much and I will never switch headset brands <3 Astro <3

Don't get the Pioneer just get this: Asus 24x DVD-RW Serial-ATA Internal OEM Optical Drive DRW-24B1ST (Black)
You don't need 2 disc drives plus you definitely don't need Blu Ray because 1. Who even uses Blu Ray 2. Do you even own any Blu Rays you'll actually watch? 3. This world is becoming mostly digital these days so you can just download stuff these days.

For the mouse the one you like is a good mouse but for long periods of time it has been known to be uncomfortable, but its your call. I have the Razer NAGA which is the #1 mouse right now. (Look up Razer NAGA molten and tell me my mouse isn't sick haha)

Anyways that was a really long post but I hope this helps.

I have a few things to say about that essay...
1) when you sell a PC YOU WON'T make money
2) if he has the money then why not, instead of getting worse parts and upgrading get the best he can.
3) 3D monitor is a bit of a waste
I could carry on but I'm busy

If you build a computer and then sell it of course you would make profit.

That's why people build instead of buy because its cheaper. So if you know how to build a PC you can get good parts lets say for $2000. You could probably pull anywhere from $2600 - $3000 but $3000 only if the buyer is stupid and doesn't know anything about PC pricing lol

Yes, it will be cheaper to BUY.
When you come to sell it you WONT make a profit. People don't want a used computer when they can build their own themselves with newer parts.

Now you're not even talking about the performance of the machine, you're talking about selling it, and that's really not what people think about when they first purchase a PC.

So overall is this a good build? Or do I need to make changes?

Thanks,

Dave

What I am trying to say is that you could sell it to someone who doesn't know how to/doesn't want to spend time building a PC.

A used PC is fine as long as you don't damage the parts and you format all the SSD's and HDD's
