I wasn't sure where to really ask this but I'm looking to purchase a monitor for console gaming within the next few days but even though it's for console, I believe it still belongs here as it's still a monitor. Anyways, I play a lot of FPS's so I'm obviously looking for a low response time but I've ran into a few things that have kept me from making an immediate decision.

1) Difference between 1ms and 2ms response time - Obviously it's not a huge deal being 1ms but is it worth the extra money to purchase a monitor with 1ms response time?

2) Picture/Audio - I have a speaker system so integrated speakers aren't necessary but I'm hesitant to make a choice because of picture concerns. I'm not overly concerned about the picture quality but it is a present concern. I'm fine with the quality being a little lower than the TV I have, as was expected, but I would still like an enjoyable netflix/dvd experience. Also, I'm not very familiar with the numbers used when regarding picture/video specifications.

3) Brand - Currently I've been looking at Asus and BenQ. From what I've read and seen on Amazon, BenQ monitors give a faster response time while Asus monitors tend to have better picture quality for my price range. 4) Price - I'm looking to spend no more than $200. One of the selling points currently for the BenQ mentioned above is the fact that it's normally a $300 monitor but it's on sale for $192. The Asus mentioned above is $35 cheaper but has a 2ms response time. I'm fine with paying the extra $35 for the response time upgrade but I still am clueless regarding overall quality and worth.

So here I am, in need of some guidance. Whether it be regarding the two monitors mentioned above or any other model/brand, any help would be appreciated.
