DannyMedico wrote my great grandfather was a high ranking Freemason when they were a real secret society. and nothing is true, i have talked to all of my family and they have nothing out of the ordinary to say about it

OMG. You're so annoying! Freemasons are a society with secrets, and illuminati are a secret society! My uncle is a freemason and he has told me i can join when i am 21. (minimum age)
Do your research before saying they are a "Secret Society"

21 is not the minimum age to join. Seeing as how I am 19, and I am about to join, and my sponsor was 18 when he joined.

Once again Freemasons don't have swords/daggers, that is the Knight Templar. Also it is correct to say they are a society of secrets, not a secret society. There motto is "Taking good men, and making them better", finally it depends on your jurisdiction of where the mother lodge shall be in most states in America, Canada, and United Kingdom the age is 21, but some make exceptions at 18. Also in some states in America they accept women but in Canada and United Kingdom they do not.

Freemasonry is simply a fraternity dedicated to doing what is morally right, being the best and most trustworthy person possible, and advancing other fraternity members. To be one, you do not need to worship Satan, but you do need to believe in a higher power.

The Freemasons were the Knights Templar ,But because of a particular friday the 13th they had to flee france ,Germany ,Italy and the holy lands.
Most ended up in England and switzerland where they became the great banking houses of europe and then when the new world (America) was found some moved across and settled there.
What are the Freemasons about ..,Circles within circles is the answer.

Freemasonry is just a fraternal organisation. There are official websites and places out in the open like the Free mason Grand lodge in Edinburgh so I highly doubt that they are trying to keep it secret from civilians. The lodge meets regularly to conduct the usual formal business of any small organisation (pay bills, organize social and charitable events, elect new members, etc.) so it is just like a club for older people (I think the age limit is 18). There is a theory that Freemasonry is a branch of the Illuminati but I doubt it.

Knights Templar can exist either as part of the York Rite or as an independent organization.

I do not believe in any of the conspiracies considering I have met members of the group. They don't seem like bad people at all and if any of that stuff were true then they sure do hide it well.
