21 is not the minimum age to join. Seeing as how I am 19, and I am about to join, and my sponsor was 18 when he joined.

There motto is "Taking good men, and making them better", finally it depends on your jurisdiction of where the mother lodge shall be in most states in America, Canada, and United Kingdom the age is 21, but some make exceptions at 18. Also in some states in America they accept women but in Canada and United Kingdom they do not.

Freemasonry is just a fraternal organisation. There are official websites and places out in the open like the Free mason Grand lodge in Edinburgh so I highly doubt that they are trying to keep it secret from civilians. The lodge meets regularly to conduct the usual formal business of any small organisation (pay bills, organize social and charitable events, elect new members, etc.) so it is just like a club for older people (I think the age limit is 18). There is a theory that Freemasonry is a branch of the Illuminati but I doubt it.

Knights Templar can exist either as part of the York Rite or as an independent organization.

I do not believe in any of the conspiracies considering I have met members of the group. They don't seem like bad people at all and if any of that stuff were true then they sure do hide it well.
