Does anyone know if after RGHing or Jtagging an xbox if ANY disk drive can be used in it? i know retails have to have the little disk drive motherboard chip thing matched, but i have 2 xbox with the entire disk drive including the chip screwed up , and im wondering if its worth getting it rghd if i cant get any disk drive to work. if there is a point to it, does anyone know anyone who can do it for me? its a newer slim

It's worth a try. Take them both apart and try it out. You don't need a disk drive with an RGH. Mine doesnt have one but I've got loads of stuff on it its called torrents my friend.

For slims it has to be another slim drive and same drive type. You can get a replacement PCB and change the DVD key on it to the console's DVD key and it'll work fine. And if you're RGHing the console then you don't need the DVD drive, you can run everything off the HDD or use an external hard drive for everything
