I'm not ranting about the gold giveaway function, but it isn't right to have 5 different giveaway topics. I'm sure 5 'what's your favourite car' threads would be locked. Gold competitions should be no different, and you shouldn't be allowed to post another if one is going one. Come on, it just clutters up the general discussions.

Well, keep in mind its not against the rules and it helps the website out, why would they not want it? If you cant take people doing give aways (yes its annoying) keep in mind it powers this website.

People can just wait their turn to do giveaways if they want the gifting badge so bad?
I'm sure the site is getting decent amounts of money, limiting the gold topics shouldn't make a huge dent for the benefits it will make i.e no more spam

I think their should be one day of every month, on one sticky or announcement. The person whos doing a giveaway comments and makes their rules, people like the comment (Thats how they enter) and the person picks a number between one and *how many people liked*, count number 27 *example* and they get gold.

I agree with this. Giveaways are pointless. How about instead of making a big giveaway post say you are going to gift 5 users just eliminate the post and gift 5 users without making a giveaway topic.

I think you misunderstood my point. What I mean is that people could gift gold to 5 users without having to make a topic about it.
what would be the fun in that. If I were to gift gold I would want to people to post on why they deserve it and hear their stories not just gift to a random who hasnt done anything. Stop complaining about it, its their money and it helps the site out
