Microsoft can console ban, all rockstar can do is ban you from GTA Online.


It has come to my attention that many of you are completely and utterly confused on what is happening about people getting account/console banned. First of all, Rockstar has no permission to console ban your console or even ban your xbox live account. All they are capable of doing is banning you from GTA Online. Second of all, people saying Rockstar isn't able to console ban you, you are correct BUT they will issue a report to Microsoft that will show that you are violating their Term of Use, therefore, that will give Microsoft a reason to console ban you. And trust me they have no tolerance, they will ban you if they need to.

The biggest consequence that Rockstar will do is ban you from GTA Online, but those people are the ones who constantly are modding the game. If you are one of those people who just modded their rank and their money once, you're most likely okay but if you modded it to a non legit rank and money amount then of course they might give you some consequences like being put into a cheaters pool.

Please be aware that Rockstar is in fact looking at people stats and they WILL confiscate your account and give you consequences. So please, for the love of god, if you are continuing to mod, just stop before they find you and ban you and you come to the forums to whine about getting banned.

If you have been giving unwanted money or don't want to be put into a cheaters pool this is what you do!
Rockstar has just put up a message on their support page on Social Club. This is what they said, "If you have been gifted a large sum of money or collected a large bounty, please submit a request to have the money removed. If you were not engaged in any willful cheating or exploiting yourself, you do not need to worry about getting caught up in our work to separate out cheaters from the rest of the population. Depends on how much you mod your money. If it seems non legit like 10 billion or so then you'll be put into a cheaters pool. Most likely not banned.

hmmm 50 mil seems a bit non legit but I mean if you play constantly and save money then that might seem legit.. and cheaters pool is like bad sports, but instead it's full of cheaters who modded the game. They are separating cheaters from legit players.

I put a DNS on then changed my decision on modding. Should I be concerned? I didn't actually do anything.

Then report it to Rockstar. They might check your stats just to make sure you don't have non legit stats.
