So lets do some math.
At least 250,000 people have used DNS modding in the past week.

If they were to be console banned xbox live would lose $55 x 250,000($13,750,000)every year in just xbox live subs. R* would then lose $2,500,000-$3,500,000 in potential sales from every DLC. R* and MS hate glitching and modding but when its on such a large scale what can you do?

Here's an example. A large number of the borderlands community hacks and mods. I have modded in both borderlands 1 and borderlands 2 throughout the entire history of both games and have never had even a warning. Yes, GTA is a larger game but what can R* really do? sort through millions upon millions of transactions in the game? They don't have time to even program something to do that. They are focused on DLC and simply fixing this huge security flaw in the game.

This wave of hacking and modding in GTA V is, in as respecful of a way I can say it, R*'s fault. They can't ban all these people because they would lose a large part of their community and would most likely lose future game/DLC purchases. R* cares about their games but, don't forget, they're a business and business loves money. In 1977 ford knew of a flaw in their pintos that would cause a huge fire if rear-ended and they figured it would be cheaper to just pay the lawsuits for the dead/injured people.

All I can see happening from this is R* fixing their game and maybe some money rollbacks. Anything else would be a kick to the balls of the accounting dept.

Let's cut to the chase, No one is getting console banned or account banned, Worse that will happen is reset or cheater pool for GTA V, I hate all the people who say just got console banned but there for not 1 of those people had sold legitimate proof!, But thanks for the post

And when and if they do patch this new mods will just be waiting at it's side, I don't even think R* can patch them because it's not there server, Its a completely diffrent server, I am just curious on how there going to patch these dns mods. Because honestly there really is no way.

In order to fix it they have to change how their servers determine values in the game. And if they haven't yet they need to change the algorithm for their checksums.

No, because like 90 percent of the people banned would go get a New Xbox and more Xbox live.

It's perfect...

I got console banned a couple hours ago, i had done a shit ton of videos regarding the DNS mods so that probably made it even easier for me to get banned... Regardless, yes people are getting banned for dns modding....

I was just about to say that I'd get a PS4.
I se your point as well but lss than half of those people can just shell out the cash for a new xbox. And probably less than half of those people actually would hell it out. They still lose money in the big picture.

If you are posting videos about the modding of course you will be banned. You are the one hosting and or promoting the behavior. It's easier to ban the "leaders" than the large number of tag-alongs. People have been console banned but I have yet to see a legitimate one that wasn't posting videos or hosting lobbies.
