So a big decision for Mark Trestman this year has been whether or not to start Cutler over the back-up McCown. Many people think Cutler is the easy choice but as I've been watching the season progress and McCown do better and better I think its time they stop giving Jay so many chances. McCown has been very productive and much more protective of the ball than Jay has. McCown is also more open to throwing to all recievers rather than only Brandon Marshall. McCown brought out ALshon Jeffery and put on a show case for the guy that showed the NFL that Jeffery was the real deal but then Cutler comes back and hardly throws to Jeffery. This question is for all you NFL and/or Bears fans who do you start this week vs the Packers. As of now I'm saying McCown.

I'm a hardcore Bears fan and honest to God, everyone who thinks McCown should start is deluded. Cutler has the arm and mechanics, but no leadership. McCown spreads the ball around and has no arm. If Trestman tells Cutler to just spread the ball and make quick passes we will be fine. We aren't going to the Super Bowl with McCown. If Cutler can get hot and our defense mans up, we can make a run. But hell those Packers are gonna give us a run for our money.

I would start Cutler because of experience. He can win games and he has been in the playoffs and knows the atmosphere.

Cutler has a better arm but McCown is smarter with the ball. I think you can't go wrong with either one. Arm strength wins games in the NFL but when you have Marshall and Jeffrey, I don't think it matters as long as the ball gets to the location.

Completely agree. Jay Cutler throws bullets. McCown is really conservative and he doesn't throw in traffic or try to scramble when he shouldn't. He has a really high football I.Q, but Cutler is more clutch, experienced, and in my opinion better overall.

Yes there's no doubt Cutler has an arm that's much better than McCowns but McCown has a much higher IQ and I believe knows what he's doing with the ball more. McCown I believe is also more of a team player as to where Cutler is selfish to me. For example last week when Cutler threw a half way decent pass to Alshon for a TD into double coverage Jeffery saved Cutlers ass but Cutler didn't even go up to Jeffery to congratulate him.

I would prefer to see Cutler go somewhere else. I think he has bigger and better things to come in his career than the Bears can offer him.

Honestly Cutler doesn't have anything bigger or better coming his way I believe we rebuilt a whole O-Line around him this year that has been outstanding and we have one of if not the best WR duo in the league in Marshall and Jeffery. I'd like to know where else Cutler actually has a chance of going that can offer him that. The defense this year obviously was horrible but that was missing Henry Melton the whole season along with Briggs and Tillman for a good chunk. If this team stays together theyre only going to get better and be a huge threat especially with Jeffery playing how he is
