I bought this off of Amazon, thinking I would be able to safely connect my Xbox 360 DVD Drive to my Laptop.

Turns out it doesn't work as planned. I don't know if I am doing something wrong, so that's why I'm posting on here. I need some help
I'm trying to flash my Hitachi DVD Drive so I can play burned ISO's. I'm not sure if the Hitachi is 79 or not. I'm not sure how to tell but, I know it is an Hitachi Drive.
If you know that I can connect my Drive to my Laptop using this cord please let me know. I've never flashed a drive before so I don't know much about it. I didn't install any drivers when I tried to flash it. I just plugged the SATA from the DVD Drive into the cord above and the USB end into my Laptop. I left the Drive in the Console to power it but Jungle Flasher still didn't recognize it.
Please help me out, I'll Host some ISO Mods to whoever can help me flash it.
