The DNS Server has not been patched by microsoft.
It was simply DDOS'ed by someone.

I can confirm this with a link to the reddit page where the creater of the server clearly states that their has been a DDOS attack on the server.

Now please stop with the posts about it being patched.

The server should be up and running soon.

At approximately(21:25 GMT)the post on reddit was updated. This is what the creator has said:

"EDIT 3: Server was attacked again, this time effecting other VMs on the server. It won't be coming back. I also didn't expect over 65,000 users on it."

No, they will only get the xp if they also change their DNS settings.
