Recently I have seen people that has got tattoos and when you ask them whats the meaning behind it, they say "There's no meaning, it's just for show".. I don't see the point in that. /: That is on your body for the rest of your life, yes you can get it removed but that will leave a scar from it and make that person remember it.
In my opinion people that get tattoos just to impress people are kinda sad. Here's is an example.
Boy says to a girl "Hey, I got a tattoo today!". Girl says to the boy "that's sexy! Why did you get it?". Boy replies "I dunno, It's just for show."
^ That's what I hate, guys trying to impress girls cause they got a tattoo!
Yes, I have got 6 tattoos but all of them have a meaning behind them, I don't have any that are random or just trying to show off.
Does anyone else agree, or do they have a different opinion? Feel free to share your opinion.

Specially on twitter girls always put 'Boys with tattoo's though'
It's obvious there are some sad tw*ts who will go out and get stupid and meaningless tattoo's just to impress girls.
I'd only ever get a tattoo if it meant something to me.

Why does it matter? It's their body not yours. And if someone sees a tattoo that is really cool they might want it to show off. In the end it's their choice.

And it bothers you because? If they like a tattoo, regardless its meaning, then they can get that tattoo done. There is nothing wrong with that.

I could not agree more! My mate recently got a sleeve tattoo of doves and roses taking up the whole of his arm. This could be a very likable tattoo if it had some meaning to it, but it has none. Its just a thing labelled onto his arm that has no meaning what so ever, if i was him looking at that i would be questioning it everyday. Got to feel for him a little though, after doing this and no going back, everyone of his mates has the same opinions as me haha. I just hope he does something later in life, for example, has a daughter and names her rose, would be a nice way of redeeming it

I don't mind if it has meaning behind it though. Like just recently, one of the youtubers that I watch got a tattoo across his chest on the day that his band's album debut at #1 on the itunes charts.
His tattoo said "Somewhere Somehow" which is also the name of his album.

i agree in part with you but if someone finds a design they like alot i really don't think a meaning is really necessary

Yeah, I know a lot of people who have done the same thing. The people who get the tattoos that in Japanese or something and they don't know if the words on their body really say what they want it to say are a bit ridiculous too.
