I start thinking about Raising the Legal Driving Age to 18.

Im for it.

First off, driving is considered to be an 'adult responsibility' similar to drinking or smoking cigarettes, and should carry the same age restrictions.
Not that many countries think 16/17 year olds are grown up enough to vote, drink alcohol and/or smoke. Yet most allow them to get behind the wheel of a car? A car can be a dangerous weapon in immature, careless or reckless hands. Society usually sees 18 as the age at which people become adults. Shouldn't driving be one of the privileges and responsibilities of adulthood?

Thats one of many reasons why I do support it.

What about you guys? Your thoughts?

Wouldn't really affect me at all, but might make some people who are 15 and eager to get their license mad.

I think it is fine as it is.

Get them responsible behind the wheel before you legally allow them to get intoxicated.

I wouldn't mind it at all. I think it would be better because all the 15-16 year olds on the road are hazards. They think they are could so they try to show off in front of their friends and it never ends good. So yes I think they should.

Either way I won't start driving until i'm 21. The insurance for the cars are ridiculous at 15-18 years old.

It's kind of a "yes-no" for me. There are teens who are actually responsible and can be trusted behind the wheel but on the other hand there are those who can't.

I'm for it. I don't think you are responsible to put your life at risk and others at 15 and 16.

I'm strongly against this. I'm 17, and have been driving for a year and a half, and have posed no threat to anyone. Bad drivers come in all shapes and sizes, the majority of teen drivers are very conscientious (myself for example) because they aren't very experienced and don't know what to expect with all that power behind the wheel.

I am also 17 and I am on Zoidberg's side, I have not posed any threat for 1yr and a half as well because I am a smart driver.
