I don't really care to much HOW they lay it out for everyone. They both suck and were honestly not ready to be released. And X1 is such a disappointment on so many wavelengths/level/etc.

It's very true that both Xbox One and PS4 share plenty in common. Ultimately I don't think you can go wrong with either. One of the biggest elements to consider will always be the quality of the games on each system. I personally picked PS4. Partly due to the familiarity of PlayStation from before and due to the sort of games I enjoy. The wonderful emergence of such great titles like Journey on PS3 lead the way in my decision. I also hope to finally get my hands on the elusive Final Fantasy 15!
Both systems have their merits. Pairing either with a Wii U is pure gaming heaven.

In all seriousness, those of you that are looking to buy a console should have a look into PC gaming as well.
You would be surprised how easy it is to build a PC. I built my first when I was 12 having very little idea on how the inside of a PC was put together. It took me about 2 hours in total and was like having a slightly complex version of Lego. Everything can easily be put together because they only really have one place to go.
Just take your time, ask for advice if you need it and enjoy the feeling you get when you finally complete your first PC.
